need some advice?
I'm 13 years old, and i'm very self conscience person and I never wear shorts in the summer, I'm constanly getting nagged about why I don't wear shorts and how can I stand wearing pants and jeans all summer along by my friends and Mother etc.. i don't really like shorts, either...but sometimes they are in fact comfortable. you might consider giving them a try, if only around the house for a while. what about skirts?

Why are they making prom dresses so slutty?
I was at my brother's "walk in" on Saturday to take pictures for my mom. And i noticed how little they were wearing. They had to be tapped in really good or they would pop out...and some were cut all the way down to their butt...no backs basically...
Yes i know not all of them are...but at least 75% of the dresses were really slutty. It wasn't that bad at my proms (junior/senior)...its just gotten really bad.... Even in the prom magazines..*someone left one in the wrong place where i work and i flipped through it...it was shocking*

So sad and true. Not only prom dresses though. I have seen the evidence of this in ordinary clothing, and just TRY and find a modest dress for church! Designers aren't usually interested in modesty and only view the female body as something to drape fabric over, the media has put so much focus on sex it's disgusting! These girls usually don't even have a choice anymore, all the dresses are slutty, which is shameful and degrating. I do worry about the future and the world my daughter (if I have one) will have to grow up in. ...(Answered by Jenn) |

How do i tighten the taps on my tap shoes?
I got these new tap shoes from my uncle, but the taps are a little loose. Is there a way I can tighten them, or anyone that can do that for me, or are they just screwed?

Taps are supposed to be a little loose, sometimes, depending on the company, and the type of tap.
If they have flat headed rivets in the bottom, take them to any shoe repair, and they can tighten them for under $10. Some dance shops have employees capable of tightening taps.
If they have screw heads, use a screw driver, and tighten them very slowly, so as to not over tighten. ...(Answered by Gilly Bean) |

Nose piercing question?
I'm thinking of getting a nose piercing, right in the middle, like a cow.
Now I'm guessing there's going to be a little problem, like when I pierced my ears, there would be dried blood over the pierced place, and some kind of sticky yellow liquid oozing out. That time I hardly ever washed it (except with normal tap water just to get those irritating layers of blood and icky yellow stuff off).
This time when I do my nose I don't think I want that to happen, as it would be much more bothering than it was on my ears. ... (Asked by John Doe)

I have known many people to do it. and really the only way to keep from haveing it get icky is CLEAN IT!!! Yes that involves picking your nose sometimes...gross but effective. Be careful...clean your hands first...use soft soap or saltwater to clean it<if you can stand haveing your nose submurged in salt water for a few minuets...> and if you use saltwater make sure it is sea salt...not table it's too refined ...(Answered by Lillith S) |
